What is DermoMask?
DermoMask is a Canadian AI beauty-tech app. A guided scan of your face, skin and hair gives you scores and a face map, then a personal plan of home-made masks, face massage, skin drinks and a daily checklist, with progress tracking over time.
How do I start using the app?
Open app.smartdermomask.com on your phone. There is nothing to download and no access to request. A free account keeps your scans and routine in sync across devices, and you can add the app to your home screen to use it full screen.
Is the app free?
Yes, there is a free plan with basic skin and hair analysis, a one-mask plan, one scan a day and your last five scans. Premium ($9.99 a month) adds unlimited scans, the full face map, a two-mask plan with backup masks, and report sharing and PDF export. Advanced ($29.99 a month) adds detailed analytics and your full scan history.
How does the scan work?
It takes about a minute. Hold your phone at arm’s length in soft, even light, and follow the on-screen guide and voice as you slowly turn your head. The voice guide speaks English, Persian, Turkish, Spanish, French, German, Ukrainian and Russian.
What do I get after a scan?
Skin, hair and symmetry scores from 0 to 100, where higher is always better; a face map scored by zone; and a routine matched to your results, with mask recipes, a guided face massage, skin drinks, and morning, evening and weekly checklists.
How are my masks chosen?
From your scan, then filtered by your profile. Masks with ingredients you are allergic to are swapped or hidden, and your skin type, age and concerns re-rank the rest. Always patch-test a new mask first, because even food ingredients can irritate.
How accurate are the scores?
Skin models for concerns such as acne, redness, dark spots and fine lines were tested on labelled photos they never trained on, and the results are shown on the app’s About screen. Hydration, texture, elasticity, hair and symmetry scores are estimates. Light and angle move the numbers a little, so follow the trend across weekly scans.
What happens to my photos?
Saved scan photos are stored encrypted, and you can turn photo saving off. Using your photos to improve the models is a separate opt-in. You can download all your data or delete your account from inside the app.
Is DermoMask a medical device?
No. DermoMask is a cosmetic wellness and beauty-tech app. It does not provide medical diagnosis or treatment. See a licensed dermatologist for anything painful, spreading, bleeding or long-lasting.
